Printed holes alone strip under torque. We press brass threaded inserts into your parts with a heated tip so bolts thread into metal, not plastic — giving you joints rated for repeated assembly and real clamping force.

Signage, architecture models, full-scale mockups, and enclosures too big for a desktop printer come off our large-format line as a single part — no glue seams, no weak joints. Taller than the bed, like the floor-standing bollard here? We split at a designed seam and dowel-join the pieces.

What's the turnaround time for 3D printing in San Diego?

Production runs are scheduled by size: roughly 10 business days up to 250 parts, 15 up to 1,000, and 20 beyond that. Both shorten a production run in proportion — a 10-day run is about 3 business days on rush and 5 on expedited. Because we run a multi-printer farm, you rarely wait in queue.
What file formats can I upload for a 3D print quote?
STL, STEP (.step / .stp), OBJ, and 3MF upload directly — native CAD files work without converting to STL first. Maximum upload size is 100 MB per file. Your file is used to quote, print, and reprint your parts — it is never shared, sold, or published.

What's the maximum size you can 3D print?
Up to 340 × 320 × 340 mm in a single piece on our large-format printers (standard printers are 256 × 256 × 256 mm). Bigger parts are still printable: we split them along a designed seam and join the pieces with fitted dowels for a flat $25 per unit, and our CAD team advises on the best split line during quote review — printing in one piece whenever possible avoids the weak joints that come with bonded assemblies.
Which 3D printing material should I choose?
PLA for prototypes and visual models. PETG for durable enclosures and chemical resistance. ASA for UV-exposed outdoor parts. PC for clear, impact-tough housings. TPU for flexible, rubber-like parts. What happens if a part comes out wrong?
Every part is checked against your model before it is packed, and anything that fails that check is reprinted before it ships. If a part still isn't right when it reaches you, reply to the order email or call (844) 907-3568 — the person who reads it is the person who runs the printers. Printability problems such as thin walls and unsupported overhangs are flagged in the quote before you pay, so nothing is printed badly by surprise.
Do you accept purchase orders or net terms?
Yes. We accept purchase orders and extend net terms and ACH to qualified accounts; everyone else pays by card at checkout. Quotes are issued in writing and hold their pricing. Every order gets a client portal login with invoices, files, and shipment tracking.
